TRIBUTE TO THE FALLEN LEADER IN TANZANIA

TANZANIA, Dar es Salaam.  Mbinga West Constituents in Ruvuma region were thrown into mourning yesterday following news of the death of their MP Capt John Komba who died at the TMJ Hospital in Dar es Salaam. He was 61.
The sudden death also threw members of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi into shock, with President Jakaya Kikwete leading the members of the Central Committee in condoling with the bereaved.
The news of Capt Komba’s demise came as the CC was................
holding a meeting at the State House in Dar es Salaam. President Kikwete later in the evening visited the deceased home in Mbezi Beach to express his sadness at the passing of one of CCM’s well known cadre and mobiliser.

Dr Elisha Ishan, who received Capt. Komba at TMJ Hospital at 4pm, said the MP was brought to the hospital in serious condition. He was rushed there by close family members after developing complications at home.
“I received him and I immediately started attending to him. I checked his blood pressure but found that it had stopped functioning. I confirmed that the patient was already dead,” said Dr Ishan.
Asked what could have caused Capt. Komba’s death, Dr Ishan said he was not in a position to know but Capt Komba was undergoing treatment for high blood pressure.
