TANZANIA, Dar es Salaam. Mbinga West Constituents in Ruvuma region were
thrown into mourning yesterday following news of the death of their MP
Capt John Komba who died at the TMJ Hospital in Dar es Salaam. He was
61.
The sudden death also threw members of the ruling
Chama Cha Mapinduzi into shock, with President Jakaya Kikwete leading
the members of the Central Committee in condoling with the bereaved.
The news of Capt Komba’s demise came as the CC was................
holding a meeting at the State House in Dar es Salaam. President Kikwete later in the evening visited the deceased home in Mbezi Beach to express his sadness at the passing of one of CCM’s well known cadre and mobiliser.

Dr Elisha Ishan, who received Capt. Komba at TMJ
Hospital at 4pm, said the MP was brought to the hospital in serious
condition. He was rushed there by close family members after developing
complications at home.
“I received him and I immediately started
attending to him. I checked his blood pressure but found that it had
stopped functioning. I confirmed that the patient was already dead,”
said Dr Ishan.
Asked what could have caused Capt. Komba’s death,
Dr Ishan said he was not in a position to know but Capt Komba was
undergoing treatment for high blood pressure.
